by Niamh Mc Loughlin, Online Safety Programme Coordinator, Barnardos
The Barnardos Online Safety Programme are conducting a survey to better understand parent and carer involvement in children’s online activities, and we would greatly appreciate your participation.
Through our family support services, we recognise how overwhelming the digital world can be for parents and carers at times. As online technologies continue to shape children’s lives, we want to empower parents and carers to engage more actively in their children’s digital experiences and to help them feel more confident in supporting their children online.
Your feedback will help us develop more effective resources and support systems for families and promote a safer online environment for children. If you can, please take a few moments to complete the survey below and share it with other parents and children in your network.

The deadline for completing these surveys is mid-August.
Each year, Barnardos conducts research, generates a report and hosts a conference on topics of online safety for children in order to keep our programme up to date and raise awareness of important topics.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss any aspect of the surveys or research with us please get in contact with us by phone (086 033 8009) or email (onlinsafety@barnardos.ie).
