Shane Creevy has been working at the forefront of social journalism for over 15 years. He is an experienced leader of global teams, a qualified leadership coach and a member of Media Literacy Ireland. His work with two Dublin-based media startups both led to successful acquisitions.
His career began at Politico.ie, before he spent eight years at Storyful as a journalist and where he led its video business as Global Video Editor. That work, verifying the veracity of social media content from serious news events to viral videos, led to the world’s biggest organisations using footage from the team on a daily basis and an acquisition by News Corp. As the Editor-in-Chief, his role at the startup Kinzen was to provide editorial oversight of the company’s content services and its unique approach to Natural Language Processing.
In 2020, he produced and hosted the RTÉ podcast series about misinformation, The Truth Matters. Upon Spotify’s acquisition of Kinzen, Shane became Manager of the Global Content Analysts at the leading audio streaming platform.
