Ciarán is a Senior Analyst with the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, an NGO that researches online hate, extremism and disinformation. Ciarán conducts research and investigations that focus on technology, extremism and AI.
Outside of ISD, Ciarán regularly speaks to Irish and international media about these topics and his writing has appeared in the Irish Times, TheJournal.ie and the Irish Examiner.
Prior to joining ISD, Ciarán previously worked as a journalist on the investigations team at Storyful. He is an ongoing contributor to Media Literacy Ireland’s ‘Be Media Smart’ campaign.
