Responding to a growing need for media literacy support, MLI has created a signposting page listing independent trainers who can offer support on different aspects of media literacy learning requirements.
The trainers listed on the MLI Certified Trainers page are independent professionals who support MLI’s key objective of ‘empowering Irish people with the skills and knowledge to make informed choices about the media content and services that they consume, create and disseminate’, as well as the EDMO Ireland mission of ‘contributing to a more transparent, trustworthy and resilient information ecosystem’.
Drawn from diverse backgrounds in different aspects of media, they are well-placed to provide training on a range of media literacy topics. In addition to their specific areas of expertise, they also have a strong understanding of the core concepts and principles of media literacy, as recognised by MLI.
These trainers have received training on the core concepts and principles of media literacy from MLI and EDMO Ireland. However, this does not mean that MLI or EDMO Ireland endorses any individual trainer’s materials, views or sessions, as per the Terms of Reference.
On MLI’s Trainers page, you can browse the list of trainers, filter by topic and location, view all trainer profiles and select the trainer who best suits your needs using the Trainer Request form.
