The Media Literacy Call 2026 from Creative Europe is now open for applications. Designed to help address the challenges of the continuously changing digital media landscape, this funding stream supports cross-border projects that develop media literacy tools and initiatives. It also helps media literacy professionals adapt their practices in response to evolving media formats and consumption patterns.
A recently funded media literacy project is SharedTime, which features Irish partner CyberSafeKids (formerly CyberSafeIreland). SharedTime offers an interactive, multilingual platform where parents and children learn to recognise misinformation, discuss online safety, and develop critical thinking together. Resources include a digital newsletter, downloadable readings for children, gamified activities, news explainers, and interactive fact-checking exercises.
