It explores the importance of digital awareness in your role and the ways you can support young people to be safer online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This series of e-learning modules is specifically designed for youth workers and volunteers and covers six key topics with a total duration of 2 \u2013 2.5 hours. The topics covered include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Module One<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>The Online World: Putting Online Safety in Context<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Module Two<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>The Online World: Digital Awareness and Skills<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Module Three<\/strong><em>&nbsp;Online Abuse: Cyberbullying<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Module Four<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>Online Abuse: Sexual Abuse<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Module Five<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>Online Abuse: Explicit Images<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Module Six<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>Online Abuse: Inappropriate Content<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>At the end of the course there is a short assessment with a Certificate of Completion available.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline is-style-outline--1\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youth.ie\/articles\/new-free-e-learning-online-safety-and-awareness-in-youth-work\/\" style=\"border-radius:0px\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Read more at the NYCI website<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Child Protection Programme of the National Youth Council of Ireland has developed a new free online course to support the youth work sector to help keep young people safe online.
