This is open to all stakeholders working to tackle disinformation, as well as public health policy experts interested in questions related to disinformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Module 1: Understanding and addressing health disinformation \u2013 13 February<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/edmo.eu\/training\/edmo-training-series-on-health-disinformation-module-1-understanding-and-addressing-health-related-disinformation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">first module<\/a> will explore health disinformation beyond traditional vaccine debates, examining how false narratives across multiple health domains including diet, alternative medicine and disease management. Drawing on real-world examples from disinformation research, it will highlight how health disinformation intersects with and is amplified by other types of disinformation, particularly climate change, further compounding already existing public health challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eusurvey\/runner\/Participants_EDMOTraining_Health_Module1_13022025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Register here<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>by 1 p.m. on<strong> 6 February 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Module 2: Public health 101 for disinformation experts \u2013 27 February<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/edmo.eu\/training\/edmo-training-series-on-health-disinformation-module-2-public-health-101-for-disinformation-experts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">second module<\/a> focuses on public health. It will explore how public health is affected by disinformation, explain how public health tools and actions differ from actions taken by disinformation investigators, and identify how public health approaches might benefit disinformation investigations.\u00a0Led by trainers in the public health policy field, the training session aims to provide guidance both for strategic communications and disinformation investigators when working on health topics, and for public health professionals when working on disinformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eusurvey\/runner\/Participants_EDMOTraining_Health_Module2_20022025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Register here<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>by 1 p.m. on <strong>19 February 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EDMO is offering a free online training series on health disinformation.
