HTML Heroes 1st and 2nd Class Online Safety Programme Launch

Webwise is delighted to invited MLI members to the launch of the brand new resource for teachers of 1st and 2nd class; HTML Heroes: Welcome to the Internet. The programme will be officially launched by Minister for Education, Norma Foley, TD on Wednesday 29th, September at 3.30pm.

The event will include a showcase of the new online safety programme and hear from special guests from education and broadcasting sectors.

Media Literacy Monday Webinar: MIL and Libraries - On the frontline of the battle against misinformation

It could be argued that few professions are as deeply rooted in truth and fact as librarians are. When it comes to information evaluation and media literacy, librarians have been quietly operating on the frontline of the battle against unreliable and inaccurate information.

During this 60 minute webinar we will hear how the four library sections are working to promote media and information literacy and combat misinformation. We will be joined by representatives from School, Public, Government and Academic libraries who will share their approaches and recent experiences.
